Bardghji's Future Uncertain as Clubs Eye Barcelona Talent
Roony Bardghji (20) faces limited playing time at FC Barcelona, prompting interest from clubs in Portugal and the Premier League as he considers his future.

Roony Bardghji, a 20-year-old winger, finds himself in a challenging position at FC Barcelona, where his prospects for playing time have diminished significantly. Internally, the club has informed him that he is unlikely to see much action in the upcoming season.
This situation arises as he competes for minutes against top stars like Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, along with newly signed players Anthony Gordon from Newcastle and Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund. Additionally, Ferran Torres, who is reportedly attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain, remains under contract with the Catalan giants. Given this competitive landscape, Bardghji is now contemplating his options.
Sporting Lisbon Seeks Stake in Transfer Rights
According to reports from Diario SPORT, Sporting Lisbon has emerged as a serious contender for Bardghji's signature. However, the Portuguese club is taking a unique approach compared to other suitors.

Rather than pursuing a typical loan or transfer deal, Sporting is interested in acquiring a percentage of the transfer rights for the young talent. Meanwhile, FC Porto is also in the mix, expressing a preference to loan the right-winger.
Premier League Interest Grows
In addition to interest from Portugal, several clubs in the Premier League have reached out regarding Bardghji. Sunderland, Leeds, Brighton, Fulham, and Aston Villa have all made inquiries through the player's representatives. Notably, Juventus, Ajax, and Olympique Marseille are also monitoring the situation.
Bardghji made his move to Barcelona in the summer of 2025 for a fee of €2.5 million from FC Copenhagen. His debut season was respectable, featuring in 33 competitive matches, scoring three goals, and providing five assists, albeit with only about 870 minutes of play.
In March, the Swedish international publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with his current situation, indicating that a separation may be on the horizon. Barcelona's preferred outcome remains uncertain, but reports suggest they are keen to retain some control over the player, likely seeking either a loan arrangement or a transfer with a buy-back option.
