June 2026: Following the Planets...

June…

Celebrated as the month where light bathes our days and stretches our evenings, but from the 21st, the return of shadow will timidly begin. June is the time for conversations resonating on terraces and the sweet scent of ripe fruits inviting itself into the warm air. Nature floods us with blue and green, and we are carried by the feeling that a form of freedom begins now, that the longest days of the year wholly belong to us…

With the Full Moon in Sagittarius, the month of June has just begun. A month of contrasts and subtleties, June seems to carry with it a promise of renewal. On June 19, Chiron enters Taurus (to stay just for the summer), and this is an event; Chiron has not returned to Taurus since 1984. Then, at the end of the month, Mercury will retrograde in Cancer, and Jupiter will enter Leo, renewing a 12-year cycle, as Jupiter has not traversed this sign since 2015, and much has happened since.

June can therefore be a month for readjusting things, taking stock, as it pulls us between Air (Gemini) and Water (Cancer)… the mind must yield to the feeling!

On June 9, Venus will join Jupiter in Cancer, and it is rare to find them both together for the second time in the same sign, their cycle that began last August renews again in the timid and protective waters of Cancer. What gestation have you initiated last year, and what will you finally bring to life?

On June 19, Chiron returns to the sign where it was discovered in 1977, thus completing its own return of Chiron in our consciousness… wounds, repairs, dissidences… a time loop is closing. In Taurus, we will have to relearn that the beauty of the world obeys cycles and also involves transformation or loss!

Mercury will retrograde in Cancer from June 29 to July 23, a whole period of great return to the dimness that generates life. What if we thought of Mercury retrogrades as intimate invitations that this planet gives us every 3 to 4 months rather than merely seeing them as blockages? It is a sacred truce to slow down, a precious appointment with our own interiority. In Cancer, this may be an invitation to revisit one’s history and thus console parts of oneself that have been undervalued or abandoned.

Then Jupiter will enter Leo, and it immediately makes me think of the music of poet and musician Leonard Cohen “Happens to the Heart” that I invite you to listen to (music video at the bottom of the page) if you are not familiar with it:

“In the prison of the gifted

I was friends with the guards

So I never had to witness

What happens to the heart”

As Jupiter enters Leo, it will face the depth and transformative darkness of Pluto, all cradled by a Neptunian ideal and the revealing and revolutionary truth of Uranus. Then during its year in Leo, it will be crossed by the South Node, which will soon enter this sign and travels in the opposite direction. Jupiter will then witness the upcoming eclipses in the Leo/Aquarius axis. This passage of Jupiter into Leo will not merely be a joyful journey of self-affirmation but will require shedding to get to the core of ourselves, to the heart of everything we have avoided through the illusion of gold or the noise of hubris. Under the gaze of Pluto, the South Node, and the eclipses, falls will occur to make way for the naked truth of being. We will be aided in this by a beautiful trine from Saturn to Jupiter that will form twice. This royal journey will then become alchemical (it will also be squared to the Taurus/Scorpio axis), it will be like a sacred initiation where the fire of Leo will not seek to shine in the world without first learning to burn away everything that prevented it from (seeing itself) to fully open to the rich promises of re-enchantment brought by Pluto!

If you are subscribed to the Astrological Circle, you will receive in June:

  • the PDF for the month with the new positions (degrees as well) of the planets for the month, so you can better follow the planets in your natal chart,

  • you will also find various links to previously written articles (for example, there is an article on Neptune and Saturn in Aries by sign) as well as bonus articles at each Solstice/Equinox (the last one was a printable card game). Our astrological library grows a little more each month,

  • then during the month, there will be the article for the Gemini lunation with information for the lunation along with its floral elixir, and at the end of the month, I will address the topic of the month which will be Jupiter in Leo for each sign,

If you are not yet subscribed (6 euros per month or 63 euros for a year) to the Astrological Circle and wish to be, you can do so here:

I wish you a beautiful month of June and a wonderful Solstice!
