May 2026: Following the Planets!

May… It’s the month where the scent of blooming flowers saturates the air. The sun is increasingly present, carrying with it the whisper of stretching days, inviting, whenever possible, to laziness as well as contemplation.

May 2026: Following the Planets!

May…

In this month of May, which begins and ends with a Full Moon (May 1 for Scorpio and then May 31 for Sagittarius), we navigate between two types of energies, still carried by a cycle that seems to want to highlight the abundance of the world, as we will have the New Moon in Taurus on April 16.

Now that the foundations are laid, a new era is emerging as the transpersonal planets — Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto — are firmly established in Gemini, Aries, and Aquarius for the coming years. The challenge now lies in how the personal and interpersonal planets (Jupiter and Saturn) will interact with these giants. It is in this resonance game, between collective cycles and our own natal themes, that the impact of these transformations on our individual trajectories will be revealed.

The first part of the month seems to be a continuation of the previous month, with the difference that the Full Moon in Scorpio illuminates shadowy areas, truths, or unspoken words, which can help us break free from controlling and/or toxic situations, relationships, or environments.

Throughout May, Mercury will quicken its pace and traverse 3 signs (Aries/Taurus and Gemini), everything accelerates again, especially from mid-May when the New Moon at the end of Taurus invites us to think about the richness of adaptability — our desires for both stability and change can now find common ground! Mercury will move so fast that it will be the first planet to cross paths with Uranus in this new territory of Gemini, which is, by the way, its own!

Next, the Sun's entry into Gemini will shed light on the energy of Uranus, which has recently entered Gemini. All the personal planets: Sun, Mercury, and then Mars (in July) and Venus (in June 2027) have already or will later enter this sign, re-initiating their cycle with Uranus in this new territory. The more communicative and airy energy of Gemini will also facilitate these new Uranian cycles and help us develop this relational and/or mental energy with more curiosity and openness.

The square that Mars will make towards the end of the month to Pluto (on May 26) may bring to the forefront power struggles, obsessive behaviors, or great ambition, strength, and courage that will allow us to traverse the fire of the most difficult situations.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius on the last day of May may illuminate a new meaning endorsed by Saturn, with whom it will be in harmony.

If you are subscribed to the Astrological Circle, you will have in May:

  • the PDF for the month of May with the new positions (degrees included) of the planets for the month, so you can better follow the planets in your natal chart,

  • you will also find various links to previously written articles (for example, an article on Neptune and Saturn in Aries by sign) as well as bonus articles at each Solstice/Equinox (the last one was a printable card game). Our astrological library grows a little more each month,
